Editor, over revisions tonight, goes: 

"You're too uptight."

I cringe, chew my lip and nod my head in assent. An utterly all-time low.

Anyway, because I'm not one to take things negatively (HA!) I decided to come up with a list of suggested responses in case one is confronted with such an Earth-shattering revelation.

• Me, uptight? Oh sir, you are too modest. I wouldn't have done it without you!

• Or so I've been told... wink wink.
• Ah yes, the sleep- and sex-deprived mind works in mysterious ways.
• Between "uptight" and "semi-deranged," well, yeah.

• Uh...lose the belt and pleats first then I'll see what I can do.
• You don't like it? What a shame!
• Just slightly. I try not to let anyone notice, heehee.
